Eden is Here (has been for a while)

It's been an amazing and emotional week for me. We traveled to the Pacific Northwest where I saw some of the most beautiful sights this country has to offer. I drank in the rain and all the green (plus some bonus fall colors) and really contemplated my life. I stayed off the computer, took lots of photos and whole heartedly embraced my husband and daughter for which I am so grateful. Then at the end of the week I miscarried at the "cusp of 7 weeks" pregnant. I had gone against what I thought was better judgment and told people about the pregnancy really early. A trip to the ER later, I was told that I had a 50% chance of keeping the baby. By morning I knew I was in the other side of that 50%. Strangely, I am so at peace with it all and when I came home I just wanted to go and hold my newborn niece. Miscarrying is a stark reminder of how intensely fragile life is and how incredible it is when a human makes it from a little seed to an actual living breathing human being. I know one day I'll hold another of my own if it's God's will but my second attemp at bringing life into the world was probably graciously ended because of a chromosomal error. God is so good. He is so so good. And so have my friends and family been good. I'm overwhelmed by the outpouring of support. I know people go through a lot more than this (it was after all really early) and they don't have to be sympathetic like they have been. ANYWAY... I digress. Here are my photos of Eden. It was therapy editing and posting these. :)
